Vaccinations (on-site upon request)

Kootenai Occupational Medicine is committed to keeping your employees healthy and productive year round. We offer a variety of vaccinations to reduce and prevent illness. Offering vaccinations to your employees is critical to keeping them healthy and on the job.

Depending upon the service, vaccinations may be performed on-site at your facility.

Kootenai Occupational Medicine is able to provide the following vaccinations, in the clinic or on-site:

  • TB: The tuberculosis skin test is a test used to determine if someone has developed an immune response to the bacterium that causes tuberculosis.
  • Hep B: Employers are required to offer Hepatitis B vaccinations to all employees who are exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials as part of their jobs, in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. The three-injection series is given during a six-month period, and can be provided at your work site.
  • Tdap: A tetanus vaccination is important for workers in contact with soil, sewage or domestic animals, or those with greater than usual risk of traumatic injury. A tetanus booster is recommended every 10 years to maintain active protection and every 5 years with an injury.
  • Flu: Flu shots are offered in October through February. The vaccine takes about six weeks to build immunity. Flu vaccinations can be scheduled on-site with minimal participation.
